Christ the King’s Oktoberfest is back this weekend – Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th! Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for the parish school that has gone from a small event to a huge Central Kentucky festival that pulls in national musical talent. Offering activities for all ages, food and beer, this is a great family festival in the heart of Lexington.

If you’re a runner, the Oktoberdash 3K also takes place on Saturday morning with an 8am registration and the race beginning at 9am, with a $20 registration fee for adults and just $15 for children 17 and under. The festival will have activities such as an obstacle course and climbing tower, arts & crafts, ring toss, and much more for the kids. Adults over 18 can play Bingo, Take-a-chance, and enter the $50 raffle and adults 21 and over can play Black Jack and enjoy the awesome beer line-up. The food vendors include Christ the King’s German Food Tent, Willie’s Locally Known, Repicci’s Italian Ice of the Bluegrass, and several others. The Friday night music headliner is Blessid Union of Soul and Starship featuring Mickey Thomas headlines Saturday night, both at 9:30pm.

Admission is free and the weather for the weekend looks wonderful, so make a plan to head out to Oktoberfest this weekend and support Christ the King parish school!
